Engine Management
The engine management light may come on when you turn on the ignition, but should then immediately go back off. It’s connected to your car’s engine control unit (ECU) and is often the first indicator that there’s a problem in one of the many systems within the car.
If the engine management light doesn’t go off, the only thing you can really do to find out what’s causing this is to come into D Fitzgerald Autos. We have state-of-the-art equipment at our workshop in Dublin, which connects to your car’s ECU and helps us to pinpoint exactly what the problem is, that way we can get it sorted for you quickly, and accurately. Once the fault has been repaired, we reset the ECU so that the engine management light goes off.
As a reputable independent garage committed to giving complete satisfaction, we are pleased to be recognised or associated with several motoring organisations and companies such as the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) and SOLAS. This means we are able to keep abreast with technical developments and components, or assist customers to spread the cost of works.
